Insurance Data Science Conference 2019
On 14 June, RiskLab hosted the Insurance Data Science Conference 2019, which brought together around 300 participants from industry and academia.
It featured 34 contributed presentations. The two keynote speakers, Joachim Buhmann (ETH Zurich) and external pageRonald Richman (QED Actuaries & Consultants) shared their views on the role of data science and machine learning in medicine and insurance. In the concluding panel discussion, Sabine Betz (EY), Jeffrey Bohn (Swiss Re) and Volker Reinthaler (AXA) debated the digital transformation and future challenges facing the insurance industry.
